INSTITUTIONS
PROVIDERS OF HEALTH AND CARTELIZING MEDICAL.
How to
explain the de-financing and almost financial collapse of the insurance
companies of health benefits plans (EAPB)?
How to explain that despite the immense debt of the EAPB to private clinics and health foundations, they continue with millions of investments in infrastructure and technology?
How to explain that despite the immense debt of the EAPB to private clinics and health foundations, they continue with millions of investments in infrastructure and technology?
Something
does not fit in this equation, insurance companies benefit plans without being
free of corruption acts and accused of staying with the resources, at the
moment they are underfinanced and unable to fully comply with the
constitutional obligations to ensure insurance in the health service to its
users, on the other hand the private IPS (Clinics and Foundations) considered
ethical, neat and honest and despite the immense debt that the insurance system
has with them, have infrastructure and technological developments worthy of
industrialized countries .
¿Why an actor of the system in frank development and growth and the other in difficulties?
¿Why an actor of the system in frank development and growth and the other in difficulties?
How to
explain the interest of multinational companies in the purchase of institutions
providing health services, clinics and foundations (private clinics).
How to explain that a recognized Colombian private clinic, was bought by a multinational health company, whose shareholding of the company was purchased in some cases was more than 500% of the initial value? It’s a good financial returns!
Maybe, it seems not to be transparent.

These
Colombian health merchants have shown the immense profits they generate,
depleting resources to health and improperly appropriating them, a situation
perceived by the international health market, who have turned their eyes to the
Colombians health resources, which seems to be in the field of health service
providers, clinics.
How do private institutions, providers of Colombian Health Services (IPS) obtain such immense profits? Expert billers supported by some employees and surgical specialists without ethical scruples, who overbill and overcode surgical procedures, raising the cost of medical fees, surgery room rights and quirurgical materials, that not performed, but well reported in the surgery operative note.
This continued theft of giant proportions to the Colombian health system is difficult to pursue and verify, since the evidence is in some cases well supported by the billers and in the others, out of sight and verification, covered and hidden by sutures.

The Colombian
popular adage said:
"The doctors' mistakes are covered with earth" The corpse;
"The doctors' mistakes are covered with earth" The corpse;
In the case
of the unethical and corrupt tactic of medical over-invoicing, they say:
"Over-billing
we cover it, with medical sutures"
And they even laugh and say: find the evidence!
And they even laugh and say: find the evidence!
Be afraid of the surgeon's pencil, your surgical
story will be the truth.
Something
is very wrong from the perspective of medical and commercial ethics, when
overbilling and over-coding of health services is carried out by clinics and
cartelized doctors with undue interest in defrauding the Colombian health
system.
It does not
seem reasonable that for medical fees, surgical room rights and quirurgical
materials rights of a procedure of a medical specialty whose academic training
time requires 4 or 5 years, it has a cost of 1,200,000 COP, (400 $ US), with
time of 1 hour, while another procedure of another specialty of equal
professional training time, invoices 6,000,000 COP, (4,000 $ US) with 30
minutes of duration, seems at least unfair to one of the specialties, or maybe,
over-invoiced or over-coded ?.
It would
seem that the Colombian State, its government and the institutions responsible
for overseeing the increase in assets of clinics, private foundations and some
doctors, will not monitor this situation, or perhaps, the sophisticated network
of this cartel of fraudsters of health resources is difficult to pursue.
Companies
that provide private health services with high financial returns invest in
infrastructure, technology and financial compensation for their shareholders.
Doctors invest and speculate in rural properties, cattle and livestock genetic technology species, difficult to trace by the Directorate of national taxes of Colombia (DIAN).
These powerful merchants of health have total control of the business, medicines, supplies, high-tech materials, the labor market, universities, control entities, legislators and judges, making them practically untouchable, making them one of the most dangerous cartel in Colombia , since they are also putting in the balance the right to life and death of Colombians people.

It is not
an exclusively Colombian problem, it is evidence of growing corruption in all
free market countries.
The overbilling in the USA according to research articles can reach up to 20% of the annual cost of the health service (10 billion dollars), in the United Kingdom it is greater than 14% about 7.5 billion pounds, similar situation is presented in Australia, Canada, France, Germany and ¿what do you think? Here in Colombia the institutions providing health services and some doctors also have the unseemly act of over-billing and over-coding services.
This practice of over-invoicing seems do not exist in socialist countries, I did not find documentary evidence neither in China or Cuba, apparently in those countries, they suspend their medical license to practice the profession; It is even rumored that doctors with low academic and professional solvency that are a risk to patients and health, are relocated to work in the harvest as cane cutters, where they can not harm the health of patients.

In Colombia
we have some doctors with multiple demands of deaths patients, who continue
practicing risky procedures for life, in the style of Jaimes Bond, with license
to kill, they also belong to the cartel, they should also be cutting cane.
